This is the simulation of particle flow in an transfer chute optimized to for less spillage and dust emissions.

This is the DEM simulation of the flow of particles in an transfer chute optimized to provide less spillage and susceptibility for spreading out dust into the environment. The simulation snapshot shows particle velocity and predicted hot-spots for equipment wear. The simulation snapshot also shows the adaptive MPI load-balancing algorithm. The graphs show spillage, total mass and mass flow rate of the second conveyor belt (at simulation domain exit). Comparison to simple geometry here.
