This is the DEM simulation of a die filling process with non-cohesive powder, as used in the powder metallurgy industry. The simulation snapshot shows the mixing of the differently colored particles. The simulation snapshot also shows the adaptive MPI load-balancing algorithm. The graphs show the center of mass in x-direction for the whole powder assembly and for the powder assembly colored in blue. For comparison with a highly cohesive case, see here.
